After the UK’s hospitality and retail sectors were reopened through the months of June and July, people had expectations that the economic turmoil caused by the Covid-19 pandemic could be lessened.
A study conducted by the Local Data Company showed that in July, nearly 30% of English high street shops hadn’t resumed operations in the weeks after easing of lockdown measures. That figure was as high as 55% in certain regions.
